Metallographic Description

Granular with faint traces of coring. The metal is low in Sn (1.3%) which may account for the faintness of the corings. Corrosion has outlined many grain boundaries. The grains are very irregular in size and shape. There are numerous gas voids, some filled or partially filled with corrosion product. There is no sign of deformation.
