How Mounted: cross-section mounted cut side up
Structure: As-cast.
Metallographic description: Cored dendritic, with much interdendritic corrosion. No second phase remains, though some of the corrosion reflects the jagged shape one expects of alpha+delta eutectoid. Twinned redeposited copper has filled some large gas voids. Along one side, there are what appears to be corroded strain marks.
