Structure: As-cast.
Metallographic description: Cored dendritic structure, with extensive interdendritic corrosion and shrinkage cavities. Numerous small bits of redeposited twinned copper. A couple of small bits of alpha+delta eutectoid. BCES 596B/1984 is identical to A, except that the redeposited copper does not show twins.
