Metallographic description: The sample stained and scratched very easily, so the photo is of the metal unetched. A clear dendritic structure is revealed, with large dendrites and extensive interdendritic corrosion that has eaten away any possible sign of a second phase. Nonmetallic inclusions. Cast, relatively slow cooling.
