Structure: Hot-worked and quenched.
Metallographic description: The specimen is extensively corroded. Transverse: Alpha with many martensitic needles in a dark matrix. Longitudinal: Very heavily needled. Almost the only matrix, or beta, visible is in a fringe around the alpha. The alpha is longitudinal in most of the sample, but not in some places. In those areas, the alpha outlines the grain boundaries. High-tin bronze.
