How Mounted: Three pieces were mounted in same mount, all lengthwise
Structure: Hot-worked and quenched.
Metallographic description: A beta-tin martensite. A crack pattern along one edge suggests the high brittleness of this alloy. There is little alpha, but the flattened inclusions are probably due to hot working.
