Hot-worked and quenched.

Metallographic Description

A high-tin beta martensitic structure. The alpha grains line up in the same direction; some alpha is twinned. The needles are very dense, so dense that the dark matrix is almost invisible. Nonetheless, grain boundaries are clear.
