Metallographic Description

This is a cored dendritic structure which has been heavily attacked by interdendritic corrosion. The specimen is two phased, though, since large amounts of alpha+delta eutectoid remain in the center of the piece. Elemental analysis showed that the alloy contains up to 16.8% tin.Redeposited copper has filled some spaces left by corrosion and gas voids.
