Metallographic description
:
At 100x, the structure is of highly corroded cored dendrites. Blue-gray inclusions are concentrated in the interdendritic zones and in the shrinkage and corrosion voids. Twinned redeposited copper can be seen in some voids. At 600x, the metal becomes a mosaic of tiny grains filled with strain lines and twins. Some of the twins are bent. Grain size varies and working is more evident near the edges.
