How Mounted: cross-section mounted cut side up
Structure: As-cast.
Metallographic description: Cored dendritic, with heavy exterior and interdendritic corrosion. Any interdendritic phase has been removed by corrosion. Lumps of redeposited copper can be found in some corrosion cavities. The crack through the middle, along interdendritic lines, is likely due to stress corrosion.
